When you create a grant application or select one for editing, the Grant Application Detail screen appears.
The screen serves as the starting point for completing and submitting the grant application.
The blue display panel at the top of the Grant Application Detail screen identifies the current project and its important details. You cannot edit the information

The Grant Title displays the name of the released program. |
Agency |
Read-Only |
The Agency displays the name of the Agency that created and/or submitted the project. Note that, for consortium projects, the Agency serving as the consortium lead appears. |
Project Number |
Read-Only |
The Project Number is assigned by the system when the grant application is created. It is unique for each grant and grant application. After an original grant application is submitted, revisions retain the project number with a numerical suffix. Amendments retain the original project number with an alphabetical suffix. |
Allocation Amount |
Read-Only |
If the Program Office assigned an allocation to the Agency, the Allocation Amount displays. |
Type |
Read-Only |
The Grant Application Type displays for reference. |
Status |
Read-Only |
The Status indicates the system’s current processing status for the entire grant application. The overall status indicates the grant application’s current state of processing and controls many of the viewing and editing properties: §

Depending on the grant application type, the Program Office may set-up a variety of workflows to routegrant applications through the system. The current assigned Grant Application Workflow Step appears for reference. |

Awarded Date |
Read-Only |
After a grant application is reviewed and approved by the Program Office, the Awarded Date displays the date of the most recent awarding entry. |

Below the blue display panel, the contents of the grant application are displayed on the left side of the screen.
Questions are organized in Areas, such as “Narrative” and “Budget,” displayed as separate panes on the screen.
Within each Area, one or more sections of questions is presented. Click the name of the section to view and answer questions.
COMPLETING SECTIONS: You must answer all questions in all sections and mark each section complete before submitting a project.

In each Area, its section or sections are listed, usually in the order the questions should be completed. Click the link to move to the Section Detail to view and answer questions. If the selected grant application is a consolidated application, a window displaying all available sub grant applications appears in the upper right section of the screen.
Use the window to create and view grant applications for available sub grants.
Create New Grant Applications
Click the Add Grant button to open a selection list of sub grants
associated with the consolidated grant. Complete the wizard
to create a new grant application for the sub grant.
Select Grant Applications
After a grant application is created, it will appear in the Consolidated
Sub Grants window. Click the Select icon to move
to its Grant Application Detail screen.
After the sub grants have been created, they are listed
in the window. Click the Select icon
to
move directly to the Grant Application
Detail Screen for the selected sub grant.

On the right side of the screen, below the blue display panel, the Administrative Functions pane contains options for viewing information and performing administrative tasks.
Click an option name to select it.

One or more Authorized Signoffs are required for submission of a grant application. Signoffs by Agency personnel responsible for approving the submission can be applied by electronic signature or by physically signing a printed contract. For consortium projects, authorized signoffs also are required by all participating members. Click the link to view required signoffs. For users assigned the “Authorized Signoff” role, the appropriate signoff actions are available. |

Click Contact Information to view a list of Program Office personnel available to assist with grant application completion or provide additional information. Use the Agency Contact Information list to view contacts or add primary and secondary Agency contacts for reference. |

As the grant application moves through its workflow, the current user may be required to complete tasks, such as Complete, Submit or Resubmit.
Task buttons appear in the lower right section of the screen below the documents pane.
