Set Aside Table > Basic Information

The following calculations and guidelines provide additional reference for completing the Set Aside table in the Reservation of Funds section.

Set Aside Table – Set Aside Requirements Column

The fields are retrieved automatically from information entered in the grant application.  All fields are read-only.

Parent Involvement

If the Base Title I Allocation is greater than $500,000, the value is calculated as:

Title I Base Allocation  × 0.01

Non Highly Qualified Teacher

If Highly Qualified Teachers = “no,” the value is calculated as:

Title I Base Allocation × 0.05

School Choice

If any of the buildings in the Agency have an AYP status of S1, S2, PS1 or PS2, the value is calculated as:

Title I Base Allocation × 0.20

The School Choice and SES Set Aside amounts must be combined for a total of 20%.

SES

If any of the buildings in the Agency have an AYP status of S2, C1, C2, P, PS2, PC1 or PC2, the value is calculated as:

Title I Base Allocation × 0.20

The School Choice and SES Set Aside amounts must be combined for a total of 20%.

LEA Improvement

If any of the schools in the Agency have an AYP status of S1 or S2, the value is calculated as:

Title I Base Allocation × 0.20

Complete the fields in all applicable rows.  Use the Requirements column for reference when entering required Set Asides.

Set Aside Table – SI Building Allocation Column

Complete the fields in the LEA Improvement row, if needed.

LEA Improvement

The row is designed for manual entry of information.

Complete the fields in applicable rows as needed.

Homeless

Enter Set Asides for Homeless specified in Title IIA.

Total Set Asides

Click Recalculate Total Set Asides to calculate totals automatically.

Complete the fields in applicable rows as needed.
