Answer Grant Application Questions > Step-by-Step

Grant questions are presented in a series of Project Section Detail screens.  After you open a project section, access the fields and enter the answer. 

IMPORTANT:  When entering information in the answer fields, always remember to click the Save button to save your work.  Exiting a question display (Section Detail) screen without saving clears any data entered in the fields.

To enter answers for any section of a project:

1.       Verify the Program Office in the upper right corner.  To change the program office, click the link to open the Select Program Office window.  Click SELECT beside a Program Office.

2.       Verify the Program Year in the upper right corner.  To change the year, click the link to open the Select Program Year window.  Choose a new year and click OK.

3.       From the main menu, click Grants Management.  The dropdown menu appears.

4.       Click Grant Application.  The Grant Application Summary screen appears.

5.       Click the arrow beside a grant name to expand its group and view all grant applications currently in-process. 

6.       Click the Select icon  in the row to view full details for a grant application.  The Grant Application Detail screen appears.

7.       Areas and sections of questions are displayed in the left pane below the blue information bar.  The number of sections varies for each grant.  A checkmark beside the section title indicates that the section is marked complete.

Click the section title to open its Grant Application Section Detail screen.

8.       Click any field to begin text entry or to select an answer from a dropdown or complete a checkbox.  Refer to specific instructions for each type of enter field (“Enter Data in Text Fields,” etc.).

9.       To move to the next question,  click the next field.  You also can press TAB or SHIFT+TAB to move forward or backward through the questions.

10.   After entering the answers, click the Save and Continue button to save your entries and remain on the screen.  Click the Save button to save your entries and return to the main Grant Application Detail screen.

11.   To return to the original Grant Application Detail screen without saving, click the Back to Grant Application Detail button.

MARK SECTION COMPLETE:  After completing and saving all the answers in the current section, you must mark the section Complete before processing the application.  See Marking Sections Complete for information and instructions.
