Enter Data in Text Fields > Step-by-Step

Text fields appear as single-line rectangles or large rectangles.  Position the cursor in the field and type your answer.

Click inside the box or press TAB to position the cursor.

All text boxes enable the use of copy, cut and paste functions.  Copy (CTRL+C), cut (CTRL+X) and paste (CTRL+V) to insert text from other fields or other documents.

From the current Project Detail screen, click a section name to display its questions.

Single-Line Text Box

1.       Click in the box and begin typing.  Some fields allow only a limited number of characters. 

2.       Use the standard arrows and editing keys to select, delete and edit text.

3.       To exit the field, click another field or press TAB.

Multiple-Line Text Box

1.       Multiple line text boxes appear as large rectangles.  Click in the box and begin typing. 

2.       Press ENTER to add multiple lines or paragraphs as needed.  Paste any amount of copy in the field from other documents.  If the amount of text exceeds the size of the rectangle, scroll bars appear to allow you to continue entry.

3.       Use the standard arrows and editing keys to select, delete and edit text.

4.       Click Spell Check to activate the spell checker.  The spell checker locates each misspelling and presents options for replacement, if desired.  After using the spell check options, click OK or Close to return to the field.

5.       To exit the field, click another field or press TAB.
